God is Always Ready To Bless You

I have just read the book, The Prayer of Jabez, a few days ago. Basically, it talks about blessings and how you pray to make God bless you. I do not really much agree that you have to pray exactly what Jabez prayed to God, but it was very encouraging to think that God is always there, ready to bless you. You just have to ask him just as any child asks from his father.

God wants you to follow him. But it doesn't mean that you have to be "worthy" to be blessed by Him. Feeling worthy is a self-judgment. Sometimes, we measure ourselves according to our own standards and feel very unworthy to pray to God or ask him when we find ourselves lacking. It is not others who judge whether we are faithful or not. It is not us who measure whether we are worthy or not. It is God. God knows everything and He has the right to judge our works. He wants us not to rely on our own strength, but depend entirely on Him that through His grace, we can do what will glorify His name. Just like what the Bible says in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."

Always rely on God as you follow His commandments. Acknowledge Him in all your ways. Trust Him. And you can expect that He will open the windows of heaven and shower you with blessings!

Have a nice day!

I am a Tanglawer!!!

Good morning everyone!

I'm sorry I had to post again today. Just want to update you with what I'm doing these days. :D

July 21,2011

It was already 4 pm and I was very excited to go home, but I still had to wait at the school for an hour and a half for our study group meeting. I didn't know what to do. Nowhere to go, I decided to "travel" around the campus (yes, I wanted to use that term) and search for my classmate,  although I know exactly where to find her. At last, I saw her!

Unfortunately, she had a class and I had to be by myself...again.

I guess she thought I was feeling that way so she told me to stay with her friend at the student veranda to pass the time. There I met the sweet members of TCF, Tanglaw Christian Fellowship (I believe 'tanglaw' means 'shine' in English. :D) and had a nice chat with them.

Then, all of a sudden, I just realized, I was already a member of the organization! :D

There is a bunch of christian organizations in the campus that I didn't know where to go, and finally decided I wouldn't be joining anywhere. This time, though, I though it feels great to talk with other Christians and to be with them. It's a comfort to be with your fellow sisters and brothers in the church every Sunday and other church activities, but being inside the campus, we tend to get busy with school work that having a good fellowship about God becomes very rare. That's why having met the other members of the organization, I felt more encouraged in serving the Lord and glorifying Him with my life.

 Indeed, this verse is true.

I hope I become a blessing to my fellow orgmates and by working together and praying for one another, we'll also grow together in our relationship with the Lord.

Have a nice day ahead!

Blessings,
Raquel

YOU MUST READ THIS!

I know something so wonderful that I must tell you! It is so vital that it may change your entire future as it did mine. In fact, the decision you make about it will affect you both in life and death.

Let me emphasize that this message is absolutely true, because God said it. When God makes a promise, you can rest upon it, because His promises can never fail. God will not make you believe this message. That is your choice, but He will hold you responsible for having heard it. It is a very personal message, something you must decide. You must say either, "I will" or "I will not".

Here is the message. It is an exact quotation from God's word, the Holy Bible. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16) Did you ever hear such wonderful words? Think for a moment what they say. They reveal three marvelous facts:

1. "God so loved the world"

Since you are in the world, He loved you. If that doesn't astonish you, remember, that when God loved you, He loved a sinner! (Romans 3:23) If you are honest, you will agree.

Although God loves you, He still hates your sin. Since God is holy, He must punish sin. He had to make a holy way to save sinners. Otherwise, the sinner must pay for his sins, and that would mean spending eternity in hell. (Revelation 20:15)

2. "He gave his only begotten Son"

God loved you so much, that He sent His Son to earth to become a man and die on the cross of Calvary so that you could be saved. You see, someone must pay the sin--either you or a sinless substitute. He shed His blood so that your sins can be put away, so that you can have eternal life.

3. "Whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life:."

Think of it!

God gives eternal life to those who believe in Jesus Christ. The Saviour has "finished" the work. He has died. He has risen from the grave, and He has gone back into heaven. Now your part is to believe in Him.

This simply means that you must agree that you are a sinner, realize that Christ has paid the "full" penalty for your sins, and then receive Him as your Lord and Saviour.

This is the message which I had to tell you. Now, you must make a decision. Will you accept Him, or reject Him? Think of it once again: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)

Your time on earth is short, but your decision for Christ lasts for eternity. Will you receive Jesus Christ as your Saviour and be confident of everlasting life?

A Company in Solitude

Since the beginning of classes, I had been very excited and happy to be with my friends at the campus. I enjoyed my vacation a lot, and I was so glad I had more time working in the ministry during the long break, but indeed I also missed those friends of mine, whom I can only meet whenever I go to school. Yeah, especially my best friend. That's why I loved spending time with them, and I really felt so blessed that I have friends like them who always encourage me and uplift my spirit.

Days passed and schooling became more serious and I had to spend more time doing projects, and assignments, as well as preparing for the reports and demo teaching. I got myself so busy with these stuffs that it became my life...to the point that it's what I only do most of the times other than the household chores at home. I felt sorry for this, so I tried harder to spend more time for God.

Lately, though, I don't know but I felt so down, and it seemed like the world is against me. Problems come, disappointments increase each day, and my expectations fail. I always prepare but my preparations have gone to waste. My friends were there, but it's like the happiness is just temporal. Something was lacking. My heart hurt a lot that I didn't know how to heal it. I've always asked God what to do. I've been trying to manage my time to balance everything, but still this happened.

I realized that during these days only God can help me. Not my friends, nor my family...only God can give me peace and cheer me up. It's only with him that I could cry all my heart and really share my problems and heartaches. I have been dependent with my friends. I've trusted them so much that I forgot that it's still God who is the best friend I could ever have.

I've been so busy, too, I didn't notice I'm already living my life according to my will and God is not glorified with it. No matter how much things I have to accomplish, God is still the first in line. I should let Him be my no.1 priority.

Success and happiness, in a way, can also make you become worse. You become stagnant and contented with your present situation. Feeling that way in the past, I also felt like I wouldn't want to change my life. I almost forgot to strive for my goal to be a virtuous woman. But I realized it should not be that way. As long as a person lives, he should continue to learn and grow to be matured and Christ-like. Sometimes, failures are the real ones which can help you improve.

This time, I'm working on changing my old habits and priorities. Once again, I put God on the top of my list to prioritize and commit my life to glorify Him. Please pray for me.

Have a wonderful day and may God be the number one in our lives!

Oft times I think I can't speak good enough to make people feel better or help them change their minds about doing what is wrong. But I can't say the right words. I can't express my thoughts. I can't give good advices.

I feel like I'm no good.

That I can never help others.

I realized, though, that if I can't do anything about it, then I can just at least listen.

I want to reach out their hears and sink into their lives. I want...I really want to help them. I can't do anything though. I hope someday time will keep us together, and even just through listening, I can make people feel that there's someone who is willing to listen to them. And there's a God who can take their burdens away.
